7. Monocular Diplopia or Double Vision in One Eye
Monocular diplopia occurs when light passing through a single clouded lens refracts irregularly, splitting the incoming image into multiple ghosted projections on the retina. Unlike binocular double vision, which resolves when you close either eye, monocular double vision persists even when you cover your unaffected eye. This ghosting effect directly points to localized structural irregularities within that specific crystalline lens.
