6 Vaccines Every Senior Should Get

3. Influenza vaccine

Believe it or not, in the United States, there are between 12,000 and 52,000 people who die annually because of flu-related causes. Besides this, there are many more who are hospitalized because of the flu. This makes the influenza vaccine one of the vaccines every senior should get.

As you might expect, the elderly are more vulnerable to the flu, and they have a higher chance of developing severe symptoms and even dying from it. The CDC reports that people 65 and older account for 70–85% of flu-related fatalities. Even more, this age group accounts for 50–70% of flu-related hospitalizations.

If you don’t know what to choose between the flu shot and the nasal flu vaccine, we are here to tell you to get the flu shot. This is what medics recommend, and if you are 65 or older, you should also get one of the adjuvant flu vaccines or higher-dose vaccines: Flublok Quadrivalent, Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent, or Fluad Quadrivalent.

The so-called vaccines are hit and mostly miss! They are also dangerous for lots of people. Beware of the chances you take in having them administered!

I’m in my 75th year of life and I was exposed to and truly believed in early preventive vaccines but the COVID and the money hungry big pharma lost me with the rush to market crap they dished out. Now I’m very Leary. How much more studies have they conducted and how safe is the Covid vaccines are now?

Nonsense – no one has ever said vaccines are 100% protection. It will make the illness less bad.
Polio – was almost eradicated – just recently reintroduced to the US by travelers
Smallpox – was eradicated in the US

COVID-19 killed 1.2 million people in the US and is still killing some. When the pandemic first happened, there was no cure.
Hospitals and first responders were overwhelmed. Some hospitals had refrigerated trucks because they did not have enough room for the dead bodies. You blame the money hungry pharma industry- for 2 years vaccines were issued FREE by the government. How much is your life worth if you fail to maintain COVID protection. No one said it is 100% but the vaccine will make the infection less. Oh yeah, at 75 and still kicking, you beat death so far but let’s face it, your life is 85% over and you need to get a pre-need contract to get ready for your adios to this world – and you can’t blame the money hungry big pharma.

Regardless of the mortality rates, the vaccines were NOT free; they were paid for with our tax dollars. Big pharma did NOT donate the vaccines; they SOLD them to our government. Big pharma did indeed make vast sums of money.

Totally agree with you. I had a dear friend who’s health was, at best, “not good” (an understatement). When the Covid vaccine came out, I told her, i was taking her in for it”…period…even if I had to pick her up and carry her. She agreed to go. I went in to her (then) healthy husband and told him I would set up and appointment for him and either take him in or I would just set up the appointment for him. His call. He told me “He didn’t need it”. My very ill friend came down with Covid. She’d gotten the vaccine. When she came down with it, she got a “scratchy throat”, that’s it. Her healthy husband, who told me “no”, came down with Covid and died.

Please stop promoting ‘vaccines’ as the 100% protection for the older population. Have you ever posted an article with the vaccine related injuries/deaths, or at the very least, the serious side effects? Please respond with the article in case I just can’t find it. Informed consent for all biologicals and drugs should be mandatory.
    Thank you.

Right! The vaccine killed people by giving them Covid instead of saving them. Nothing is too evil for them to do!

Is it possible to have shingles more than once?
I am 73 years old (74 in December) and had, what I consider to be, a mild case of shingles last year. I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 1/2 years ago. I also had a stroke a year ago and now am a resident of a health care facility. After having conferred with my oncologist, this facility was told that I could receive a shingles vaccine, which I have gotten.
What are my chances of getting shingles again.?

The Covid-19 recommendation is nothing but a lie. There is zero proof that the jabs will prevent contraction and spreading. Everyone I know who has contracted Covid more than once received the shot and the boosters. It was never fully tested and no reports have been published showing it’s efficacy. There are other ways to achieve better and safer health. Look up alternatives and be enlightened. Articles like this one is disinformation and at best is an opinion piece. Wake up!

Please quit promoting Covid. I took the vaccine and two boosters. I now have terrible side effects. Big lumps in my legs. Legs that feel so heavy I cannot walk very far. Dog tired. No energy. Have to take a nap after any brief activity. It has “shut down” my life.

Don’t take any jab. Cobra venom was in so many that why people are still dieing.
If you took the jab with the cobra venom
Not all jabs had it. You will end up with a stroke. Heart attack. Conspiracy or not.

Want a good vaccine? Boost your immune system. These vaccines are full of junk and will only harm you. However, it will put a lot of money in the pockets of Big Pharma and you doctor. Your immune system is your best vaccine.

I haven’t seen this many ignorant comments in my life. Many if you people have absolutely no idea how your immune systems work, what vaccines do to prime an intact immune system to be ready to fight infectious diseases which generally kill or severely debilitate a person at risk. Vaccines are not antibiotics or antivirals that actually kill bacteria and viruses. Vaccines actually require YOUR immune system which normally fights infections to work. They trick the body into thinking it has been invaded so the BODY would make cells to kill the invader. They teach and prepare the body so that should the real attack occur it would have a better chance to destroy the infectious agent and save your life. Not only your life but since these pathogens are infectious they also save the lives others you come into contact with. Before vaccines are OKd to be used, barring a devastating pandemic such as Covid which killed MILLIONS of people, they are subjected to rigorous testing that might take more than a year. As to side effects, yes they have some but these are a reflection of your own body’s defense mechanism being activated as intended. Every patient with help from their physicians should weigh the risks vs rewards for every vaccine they ask for.

I’m 77 and have taken all the recommended vaccines. I’ve never had any of the protected illnesses. I lived through the polio epidemic, and so I’m a big fan of vaccines. They have varying levels of protection, but they’ve saved millions of lives worldwide. As a retired biologist, I’m a HUGE fan of vaccinations and an unwavering critic of the anti-scientific, atavistic, anti-vax movement.
