2. Higher Cost-Sharing in Medicare Advantage & Part D

Cost-sharing under Medicare Advantage plans may increase, and Part D prescription drug plans are expected to have higher deductibles and out-of-pocket caps.

For example, the out-of-pocket cap in Part D is slated to rise to $2,100.

  • Check your plan’s 2026 Summary of Benefits for changes to copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
  • Consider switching to a plan with lower cost-sharing, even if premiums are higher.
