3. Expansion of Drug Price Negotiations & Caps

Under recent legislation, Medicare will have expanded power to negotiate drug prices, which may lower costs for some high-cost medications.

In addition, insulin costs will remain capped (e.g. $35/month or 25% of negotiated price), and certain adult vaccines will continue to be free (no deductible or cost sharing).

💡 What you can do:

  • Review your Part D formulary to see which drugs are affected by negotiation.
  • If you use insulin or vaccines, check whether your plan is adjusting coverage or cost-sharing.
