Never Wear These Clothing Items When Sleeping, Experts Warn

Clothing items you should never wear when sleeping:

1. Underwear

Tight underwear can be a possible culprit for poor sleep. Not only is it uncomfortable but it can lead to a series of health issues: for instance, it can cause ye*st infections in women and lower sp*rm production in men.

As explained by Healthline, “cand*da, the bacteria responsible for ye*st infections, thrives in warm, moist environments.” In the case of men, “warm, wet gen*tals are a breeding ground for fungi.”

Recommendation: 100% cotton underwear.

Like your undies, your bra can also cause trouble. When too tight, bras can cause irritations and hyperpigmentation, warns Jen Wan, co-founder of skincare company Soteri Skin.

The headline is about what NOT to wear, but the last items are what TO possibly wear.

Thank you for all the bull cause I don’t wear any underwear in bed I have sleep-shirts but I have
worn socks in bed when it was cold outside and I don’t like sleep masks and I’ll have blankets in
    many different colors.

I need to wear a diaper every day and night. How do I avoid any side effects from this?

I appreciate all this advice. And, I was blessed to discover the main one I have been doing that I shouldn’t is “wearing earings ” to bed. This will stop tonight! But I do have some synthetic material pj’s that I sometimes wear, so those will have to go too.

The best solution is to sleep all natural, I have since my mid teens.
I go to bed, within 10 min. top I am asleep, wake up about every 2 hours just long enough to see the time and back to sleep immediately. When I was young 4 to 5 hours max. sleep then I would wake up ready for the day. Since getting older (82 now) seems like I require 5 to 6 hours.

I thought you said “Don’t wear these things” but you are actually suggesting wearing socks as well as sleep masks and/or ear plugs. And, I’m sorry, I am wearing most of these things… well, not the bra…

Always wear cotton socks in colder months as they also seem to stop the awful cramps I get in my tendons in calves.
But I use poly cotton sheets as linens and cotton have to be ironed and I am 80 now!
The rest make sense tho’ I am guilty of some like leaving on my bra at night.

Seriously? You are giving health-related advice and you can’t even use big-boy/girl words?

So, the end take on clothing to bed is sleep nude. No problems with skin not breathing, overheating, too tight, or wrong type of material. Good old fashioned cotton is next to impossible to find anymore, it is mixed with many various types of synthetics.

Why are you censoring such words as yeast, sperm, genitals and candida? These are legitimate words with a specific meaning. Unless you are a toddler who thinks it too potty mouthed to be adult when discussing adult topics, I suggest you grow up, develop your language skills and learn to write and speak like an adult.

I would read your articles if your 1,2,3,4,5, etc., were on one page. Turning pages over and over is too time consuming, so I pass on them.
